Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

You won’t be able to do this - I’d try to negotiate signing bonus, there are set bands for the base

They don’t do retention bonus. If you were more senior you could negotiate RSU’s vesting over 3 years. At your level I’d just try for a larger signing bonus that’s your most likely lever.

LOL. Sure thing! Go for it and make sure to get it in writing. Let them know about all that strategery knowledge you have as a L9, that they must retain or else.
Negotiate higher base. HR Can’t negotiate company policy but they can negotiate the salary

Seeing as how Accenture strategy is on a cohort scale, all you can negotiate is the level (ie a third year consultant), and sign on.
Anyone from Accenture able to speak to this? This was my experience when interviewing there
Can’t really negotiate a bonus or base pay, only base that is negotiable if they give you more “credit” for your experiences and allow you to come in at a more experienced level of consultant (ie C2 or 3 instead of C1). Keep in mind if you come at the tail end of the time at level, the faster you have to get promoted (which can be good and bad)
Thanks folks, this is good to know :)

Hot take: everything is negotiable!!! (Small font italics side note, but only if you are in the c-suite)
