if there is no way you’d take company B, let them know asap that you got another offer, and don’t want to needlessly take up their time if they have other options, but if they’d like to chat still, you’re open to it.
Furthermore, the implied feedback that they were slow is the only way they’ll improve!
Thanks for the insight, everyone! I told Company B I accepted an offer but they wanted to speak with me anyway and told me they want to keep interviewing me even though I made it clear Company A was my choice. I’m going to refer a colleague for the role and hope that excited them just as much. Appreciate everyone’s advice!
always keep doors open. you never know when it’ll pay off in the future, especially in an industry as small as ours.
This 👆 No sense in wasting everyone’s time if you have no intention of considering an offer.
If you already got the offer from your top choice, I think it would be rude NOT to email B and withdraw. Unless you would still consider going there pending they gave a better offer than A. Congrats!
