Recently been promoted from Analyst to Consultant (after two years). However, I’m interested in going to IBD - if I take an analyst role, is it considered a step backwards?

Why?

consulting peers rarely get into PE out if b schools

like

Depends on your goal and age. If you’re under 25 and you want to go PE/HF, doing a 1-1.5 year stint as an IB analyst makes sense. Then do 2 years in PE before going MBA. You’ll be miles ahead of your consulting peers in b school who want to go PE

So I had a first interview this past Friday at a company that I had previously interviewed with and made it to the final round last month. They decided to go with an internal candidate after it came down to me and him. The current role is more senior, and was one I was asked to apply for by the hiring manager, whom I also met with during the last set of interviews. I emailed the recruiter to f/u on Friday and still have not gotten a reply. Should I be concerned?

Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

My unit has an ideal layout for work from home and a huge patio.
