Recently switched from med mal defense to plaintiff PI. I’d like to use my med mal background to bolster my auto PI cases, particularly the understanding that good experts win cases. Understanding cost concerns, what are some good ideas for experts for higher value cases beyond treating docs (who often don’t want to cooperate) and a doc to perform an IME? For example, maybe an expert to review the defense IME, or some other type of experts?

Vocational expert if they can’t work at their prior place of employment (if they had a legitimate career). Economist if the job they can no longer work at had high earnings, especially if there was retirement/pension. Engineering-like experts if you have a defect on a premises that caused an accident. There are plenty. It just depends on if it’s worth spending money on

Economists, life plan experts (vocational experts), and paid medical experts. Those are the only valid ones.

Stay away from nurse/nurse practioners.

So I have a felony. I interviewed with a recruiter today who was super cheerful and nice. Once I disclosed my felony, which she already knew about since a friend referred me to her, she immediately stopped the interview and said she couldn’t in good faith move forward on my application given the nature of my offense. I explained that I had done my time, paid my fines and restitution and had the experience to become a great asset to the organization. -she suggested I look into bartending.

How long does HCL take to release the offer?

I have taken the interview on 27th July 2022 and next day I got an update that I am selected and I will be connected by HR for further proceedings.

With all details I have shared, I have been told that the approvals are pending and the offer will get released soon.

Now, they have mentioned it will be released next week.

Your thoughts on this, TIA

At the beginning of quarantine, I was really depressed. I was drinking too much alcohol, eating too much junk food, and generally not in a good place. It has been a slow weight loss but I am focusing on making sustainable lifestyle changes that I can keep up. I am so excited and proud!!
