Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

Lol at people thinking a 'hybrid office' is salvation...
“It’s the psychological shift – the change of setting every day – that’s so tiring; this constant feeling of never being settled, stressed and my productive home working always being disrupted.”
many workers report that hybrid is emotionally draining. In a recent global study by employee engagement platform Tinypulse, more than 80% of people leaders reported that such a setup is emotionally exhausting"

Mufongo
Marmalade in Old San Juan...Great restaurant and wine bar
If you don't mind driving 45 mins I highly recommend the bioluminescent kayaking at Laguna Grande. Once in a lifetime experience
^ kayaked the bioluminescent bay off Vieques. Pictures cannot capture that. Magical.
Second Marmalade, amazing food. Try their truffle pasta, it was exquisite...I went there over Labor Day. Also try La Factoria, is one of the top 50 speak easy bars in the world. I would skip Mufungo, it was so bad.
La placita at night. It's essentially a giant block of bars where you're allowed to walk around with drinks
Punto del Vista? Old town. Rooftop of offbrand hotel. Best Mufungo I had in PR. Ask for both sauces on the side.
Also check out the forts. Really cool.
The rainforest has a decent hike
You should probably check how much damage is done by Irma there.. I saw on news that some parts might be out of power for a couple months.
On other note, I spent a lot of time in Vieques.
Thanks everyone. I'll also will have a rental car for 2 days (staying 4). Any recommendations outside of SJ? My friends and I like the party scene, bars, outdoors, hikes
E3 - yup that's on the list.
And from what I've been told the damage in SJ was minor. Mostly power related but a lot of it is back at least in the touristy areas
