Proserv lost tens of millions in FQ3 22 according to the 10-K, but expects in-general to be net neutral. I guess if you take that out of CSG, where is the revenue? Yes there is some, and crediting some license revenue to CSM's, but it depends on your outlook as to whether CSG is a cost center or not....there's more to running a business than marketing, sales, and product.

CSG on average is a total mess and it’s not an easy job. Especially depending what customers you end up with. Constant re-org, sales dumping stuff on you, leadership leaving all the time, incompetent junior staff. That said one of the best coworkers I had in my 5 years there was a CSG director and he loved his job. He had awesome accounts too
I am hiring, DM if you’re looking 😊

Friend of mine directly left Salesforce consulting for Slalom and the #1 reason was money.

I’ve had the opposite experience than OP! I’ve gotten to work with much more consistently capable folks here and I’ve been here for over two years.
OP, sorry to hear that it’s “so worse” for you. If you have recommendations on how to improve, feel free to DM me.

OP- DM me if you’re looking for something better!
Common story. Sorry it’s not working for you
Interesting, I’m interviewing for the solution architect role but also just wrapped up my final with Deloitte, PWC, Silverline, and have Accenture next week. I also have a Google offer that’s more internal but this deff helps with decisions..
That’s nice c1, what is you core expertise and experience. Are you more technical or functional and on specific cloud?
Professional services has been worse each year I’ve been here. No surprised by your post OP. Hopefully you find an exit internally or another firm
Whew! Briefly considered departing Slalom for a CSG role with similar comp, so glad I didn't!
We too are glad 😂😂😂
I came from a big four last year as well but I cannot relate to OP as I’m not in CSG. Sorry you have to go through this , seek a different team perhaps ?

Tech and Solution Consulting (PA/TA/SA/BA) management makes it nearly impossible to change teams or projects. You're pretty much stuck with applying for another department and hoping a turf war doesn't break out, or applying outside.
Is CSG part of PS?
PS is part of CSG
Only other datapoint that’s play in my head while thinking of companies like SF is about their growth. They have army of Sales people yet growth is primarily driven by acquisition not organic growth…having said that I like SF products as such but not big fan of organization growth strategy

Well for example, Salesforce let Quip/Salesforce Anywhere and Chatter die and bought Slack for $28 billion, but Microsoft - who has also acquired many companies to be fair - built Teams. I much prefer Slack as a product, but Teams certainly is an example of recent organic growth built in-house that Salesforce can't point to in recent history...Flow was an acquisition, Lightning was a UX refresh, DX and Code Builder are based off VS Code, Tableau CRM/Einstein/Wave was an acquisition, Tableau and Mulesoft and B2B/B2C Commerce and Revenue Cloud and Marketing Cloud and Pardot and NPSP are acquisitions....
I'm hiring as well, shoot me a dm
