I’ve been working as a contract TAS for 6 months in a medical device company. I started part time and as it became busier/my trainer quit, I became full-time. I applied for the TA position through corporate and would like some insight. the company is short staffed and my site specifically does not have good TA retention. For the salary expectation, I put in 85k which is in the range. I’m currently at 64k which is below the minimum of the range. Is this realistic?

My YOE 1yr 10Month and I want to switch to different technology (angular/tableau) but I don't have much knowledge and hands-on exp.. I interviewed for an internal opportunity a couple weeks ago (Engineer w/ 4 YOE to Product Manager role). There were a few other internal candidates, and I have not heard anything since the interview other than "we are still waiting on approval on some things from the president, but he has been out on vacation, say hang tight." That was last Monday and have not heard anything since then. Should I assume that I did not get the position? What is the typical turnaround time for internal ops?
