If you are making 80 as an entry level staff I wouldn’t leave... they won’t hire you as an associate unless you have 5+ years of experience. They may give you senior and offer you 90k but don my expect much of a raise at year ends.
I assume you are referring to the internal range that can be provided by your SA or HR. The range is based on level and your internal job title, so the range varies even at the same level if the job titles are different. And although there is an internal range for your level, it's not set in stone, and you can be paid under the minimum. From what I've seen, the range for SC can range from 70s to low 100s. There are also other factors that influence your salary (client/contract restraints, market, etc.)
What was your background/ years of experience b2?
63-75 would be my bet guess (former Booz)
For senior consultant?
Yes... Senior is L2 and can be achieved within a year. I know some AR consultants in the 68-75 range and I also know of one at 58k (not kidding)
D1 is pretty on... I would say upper end could go higher towards mid to low 80. Try to swim Associate, more like 85-110.
Should I be coming in as associate then? I already make 80 at entry level (staff) role at EY
@OP I just realized you're not currently with the firm. I'm not sure what you're looking to make. If you have a set amount that you expect to make, ask for that amount and stick with it (or at least close to it). You'll be surprised what they might be willing to offer you. I know people who basically do the same job and have the same background and years of experience, but there's a drastic difference in their salary (literally $30K plus) because they support different markets.
A1 recruiter was saying mid 90s was the upper range
Mid 90s is definitely upper end but would not count on it. I’ve known SC in that range but were fully cleared
I made 90k when as an SC
