8 YOE total. Started at one step below an AM, $45k. 2.5 years in I was an AM, $55k, slight raises until I job hopped to another company for $70k as a senior AM. A couple raises to $90k over 2 years. A year ago promotion to AE and I’m at $145k.
I made 35k as an account manager 9 years ago working for an agency and 50k as an account manager working for a carrier 6 years ago with 3 YOE. Not sure if it’s helpful as i’m on east coast.
Formerly AE with 6 YOE, west coast handling middle market commercial on the Agency side - $80~90k. Salary per 3 years ago. I was considered on the higher end of pay band, not the median or average, as a high performer. If you can’t get a competitive base salary, be sure to negotiate other parts of your compensation package.
West coast Sr. AM with $128K base salary plus bonus with about 10 years experience.
50k as an Account Manager with almost 2 YOE. East Coast, initially started out with 45k and working my way up to an Account Executive level as well. I hope this helps!
West Coast Office Rep transitioning to AM $50k base. 5 months experience.
East coast 4 YOE AE $61k
East coast. CSM with 2 YOE $50k. Feel like I’m being played by my company
Still working my way there. But our Sr. AM is making $130k base + bonus. She has 11 years of experience.
What company is this? A large broker? What geographical area?
West Coast
Sr AE - $80K
AM - Middle market commercial $65-70k
Small Biz - $55K - $60K
