Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? You must be great at parties
I thought it was because you didn't understand the point? 🤔
The fact that you immediately brought up race means that in all likelihood you are probably racist. You saw the film through a racial filter instead of evaluating its merits.
It's not a movie "about black people" S1. It's a movie about people. When you see a movie that has mostly white characters do you say that it's a movie "about white people"?
Do you have friends that are "not like you?" Do you "not see color"?
Just saying that we had better movies.
Moonlight was great. Sorry you're a sucker for a typical, basic plot and can't fathom character development
It was to combat the "oscars so white" buzz
Moonlight and lala were bad movies.
I hated it. Pacing was off. They got lazy with the editing. Like it was a first draft. Made poignant moments feel uncomfortable and awkward instead of meaningful and emotional. It seemed too self aware as a movie. I wasn't lost in it. And I really really wanted to be.
The ending was absolutely beautiful
So I'm confused. If you don't like a movie about black people that means you're racist?
I am definitely not against black films. Hidden figures, fences were definitely better films. I am a big fan of Straight Outta Compton! Even the new movie, Get Out is super awesome. Please check it out if you guys have not seen it yet
It's definitely not another one of the American kraft cheese plots that the media has been successfully getting you accustomed to over the course of your life
Just thought Moonlight was overrated and definitely did not deserve the best picture
...and AC4.... The fact that parts of the movie made you uncomfortable and awkward don't make it a bad movie... confront and sort through the feelings you had. Maybe you should confront those feelings you had and ask why? If for a second you thought about the layers of complexity in that story you wouldn't be able to "hate it". I wish people could think things through beyond such a superficial level
were much better
Lol
There's no way you win this argument, even if you're trying to say you objectively think another movie was better. Never seen any of the nominated movies, so I have no skin in the game. Just observing
Thank you ACN2
