At least once a month, I’d be there on a Saturday and Sunday—ordering in Deliveroo, grabbing naps on the foyer sofa, missing time with my then-partner, with my parents, with my friends, with myself. By the end, that job almost broke me. And the worst part? I never pushed back, never questioned it. This was normal. I was “dedicated,” “ambitious,” reliable… right?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

Just started a new job less than a month ago in the tech sector. It was the industry I was fixated on when leaving for. However I realise that I don't think I can cope with the fast paced, lack of wlb, with no support - it's really impacting my mental health already....

I try to hide it from my boyfriend, but its impact is flowing into my personal life.
I feel like a failure, but recognise it might be beneficial to cut loss and quit. Has anyone been in this situation?

Does anyone else suffer with paralysis? Mine is so bad I don’t even know what to do anymore.
