No. He was being an ass
Given the fact he tried to strong arm/get entitled to it I would have said no for the hell of it. So many people think they are special and can “get there way” fail to empathize with people who might paid more for the seat, booked months early to try and plan it it etc.
Nope
I'd run down the list of:
- Was it a comparable seat (aisle for aisle, bulkhead vs non, etc)?
- Is the row comparable and you don't have to put luggage several rows behind you in overhead?
- Are your seat neighbors comparable (size, odor, etc)
If everything checks out I'd oblige but in any case, the guy is a privileged ass-hat that knew what he was doing by sprawling. Would have been worth the "Thanks but no, please return to your seat". You'll never see him again, unless maybe in the parking lot...
You’re totally right. Also, don’t pre warm my seat 🤮
We pick seats for a reason and/or pay for certain ones. I would have declined, if I wanted his seat I would have picked his seat lol
Nope not wrong. I would’ve told him to go pound sand.
Let me guess - 50+ year old white guy
No, "HE" was wrong.
I'll swap seats with people but only in instances where it's a fair swap (ie; isle for isle) or when I could benefit from poor planning (ie; I'll give take a window seat and they take the middle)
I have 0 tolerance for self entitled, poor planning travlers who expect special treatment
Nope!!!
No. I hate bulkhead seats. Great for my intern (6'7 and 320 lbs) but I like being able to have my bag under the seat in front of me.
My husband and I had aisle and window seats, a guy comes in and takes the middle seat. As soon as he realizes we are together, he "offers" to take the aisle or window seat. I said, "No, we're good".
Not at all. One time I was flying overseas and my flight from DC to SFO was late. The connecting flight in SFO was held up as my group was around 12 that United decided was too much $$$ to rebook. I get to my PAID extra cost economy plus seat and saw a fellow sitting there who should've been in the middle seat. He said that I was late. I looked at him and said that it didn't entitle him to my ASSIGNED seat. He then said that since it was a 13 hour flight, couldn't we switch mid way? I rolled my eyes and just wanted to sit. Then the $@#!$@ wanted to CHAT. I picked up my headphone and closed my eyes. I already decided to be NICE and let him sit in my coveted aisle seat, albeit for a while. I woke up 20 min later and he was gone.
WTH is wrong with people? The flight attendant saw the way I handled it and slipped me 2 small airline bottles of Tito rum.
Thanks, Mz. Flight Attendant gorgeous Angel!
Needless to say, the rest of the trip went smoothly.
