I have a verbal offer for a position that was created for me (originally interviewed for a diff role but they went with someone else, they liked me enough to offer me another position). But the problem is it’s taken a month for them to come up with a written offer and concrete details, I don’t even have the comp yet just a range. I know this is an unusual situation but is this a major red flag that this company doesn’t have its sht together? It’s a publicly traded industrials firm

Currently interviewing for A&M, I have already asked for some initial money but the interviews are progressing pretty good and I’ve realized the position is more complex than originally thought. Hey y’all, I’m currently in pharmacy school and getting my MBA, so I graduate next year with a PharmD and MBA. I prefer to work in business more than pharmacy, but salary IS important to me. As a pharmacist I can probably make $120k+ out of college. I’ve been thinking about going into management consulting, I’d probably like that much more than pharmacy. Why do firms fire people with low but still profitable hours? I am in my first full year on track for pretty low hours (~1500) but the actual realized fees (after writedowns) are still double my yearly salary. Is it because firms know they could replace someone like me with an equivalent attorney who would bill more?

Anybody taken an offer for the big salary bump for a near identical role and regretted it?
