@Deloitte I'm in Consulting but working on an Advisory project and loving it. Thinking about switching to Advisory. Does anyone know whether salaries are same/lower/higher?
When the IT "experts" at your client office spend the first 30 minutes of every meeting figuring out how to sort columns in excel
My idea of work-life balance is being able to answer client emails and so laundry at the same time.
"Project manager" at the client responds to an email from 3 weeks ago asking for an update. Read the latest email in the chain, dumbass. #notthatdifficult
For the past 2 months I have had trouble accessing any non-client or company websites. I thought the client was blocking me. Turns out it was "Websense" that the company installed that was blocking me
When your project isn't that demanding so you're inundated with endless admin tasks... #holidaydinner #teamevent #teamholidaydinnerevent
When you leave the client and work at the hotel and get food to go from the downstairs restaurant so often that when you come to dine in, they're automatically writing down your to go order.
So, you need warm bodies on a project? And a "throat to choke"? When did I get a job in Dexter's kill room?
That moment when Project 2013 freezes on you and you wonder how a product could take one step forward and two steps back
Life lesson of the week: My manager’s word is good for nothing and only goes as far the client’s subjective approval of my work. I wish he would grow some balls and stand up for good work, period.
Managers that essentially do nothing all day but claim their "guidance" is crucial to the project.
When you spend more time getting dressed for your first client face to face than you do for a first date.
The sky is about to start vomiting snow at my client site and I don't want to destroy my nice shoes. Any recs on winter boots that are both functional and work appropriate?
When you have to commute two hours each way to the client site only because the client wants to see you working 😀🔫

Any advice for a new associate without a strong finance background who recently got staffed on a diligence project?
You know what's not a bad sign? When the client puts your team on mute six times during the call. -_-

Former MD called to let me know I am welcome back at previous firm anytime I want. Made my day!
Would anyone in Finance Management Consulting be willing to provide referrals? Actually would like to learn how Finance consulting works in other firms.
You have 30 seconds to speak to your 20 year old self: would you still advise yourself go into consulting?
What does your significant other do? (Are you male/female?) This should make for interesting social data collection.
I just received an offer for my dream job but it would imply working remotely 100% of the time. I really like my current situation of working from the office 2 days a week and am scared of missing these social interactions if I accept the job. I’m a recent graduate and value sharing time with my peers at lunch etc. Any opinion from people working fully remotely?
Deloitte S&O who have had year end discussions, what was your raise and bonus based on your level/locatiom?
Is anyone else struggling with social media addiction? I am spending 15 minutes working followed by 40 minutes on reddit. I feel like it’s worse because I’m working from home, there’s nobody to see.
I just can’t tell if I’m doing a good job or not. It’s so tough always having to try to ensure you look good in front of directors or managers on a project who just want to ensure you’re billable.
