How to get into IBM ISL from GBS
Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?
Anyone else moon lighting here ?
Curious to know if you've legitimately declared it to your core job peers and if yes how are you balancing ?
What I know is if i can be a manager at a regular office and yet have my own start up venture(s) on various other skills, it shouldn't ideally conflict but some HR do poke in between
Anyone from Accenture India ?

Hi all,
Need help , can anyone let me know if Accenture is giving work from home as of now ? I mean i have been offered, and the HR is telling me to collect the assets from the base location and the policy of dispatching the assets to home location is no more. Now initially it was communicated it will be work from home for at-least 6 months now i am building trust issues to join the organisation.

Even with all of these nonsense, this is one of the best countries to be in. President will change but the people are amazing here .
PS. I moved from Europe for my MBA and 4 years at PwC
Haha.. resounding lethargy perhaps?
My point was really not about immigration or about the USA. Just about my career and how it’s not what I thought it would be and how external circumstances viz choices based on travel and immigration (primarily) have modified the normal progression I had taken for granted as an associate (a la the young man in my anecdote above)
afresh at how stuck I am. And why the hell I’m still here?!
You tell us. Why are you here? The super cheap healthcare? Cheap education? Openness to immigration? Inspiring president? Resounding belief in science?
Saying that the people here are amazing is a bit too large of a generalization. There are lots of great things about this country, but given the amount of effort/money/work/luck/etc. required to go through the immigration process, idk if it’s worth it. But that’s a decision everyone needs to make on their own
