So for all my first generation consultants, I don’t think anything can replace that feeling you get after reciving that first offer at a big prestigious firm. Knowing you are only a couples months out of college, that all your parents sacrifices and all your hard work has finally paid off. (I’m not talking about guidehouse where I have a non-consultant role)

Have you ever had to deal with a loud upstairs neighbor? I’ve only seen her once and it’s been over a year but I hear her literally every day. This girl has never taken a ballet class in her life and it sounds like she walks with bowling balls strapped to her feet. I’ll be deep in sleep and REGULARLY get woken up by what sounds like furniture being moved around. How do you approach this? It’s been very negatively affecting my sleep.

My husband having 12 yrs. exp currently holds two opportunities abroad at the moment. We r a family of three (husband, wife and a 1 yo)

One is a contract role (through a consultancy) in Australia with 100k annual pay.. Other one is an On-site opportunity in New Zealand through an WITCH company, not unsure of the pay right now. Their eventual plan is to settle abroad, preferably Australia

Please suggest which one would be a better choice at the moment. Also any info on on-site pay in NZ
