Do associates @ other strategy shops spend a lot of time sourcing/conducting interviews?
Before you ask, the answer is YES, fighting is a part of the interview at Deloitte. We have successfully replaced case interviews w/ cage matches. Last person standing gets an offer. Any questions?
Are exit interviews ever effective in any way? They are asking me for one but what is the point? They didn’t change before, they are not going to change now.
I want to switch role as an AWS developer. But I have just learnt the things on my own in AWS. In interview I am asked questions based on real scenarios on which I am not having any experience. Any suggestions? Even if I do hands on on services like Linux academy or quiklabs, it would not help. (AWS cloud migration experience one can get if worked on a real project). Please help.
Anyone at Bain willing to provide a referral for a position I am interested in applying for?Bain & Company
Does anyone have an archive of consulting prep casebooks, courses/programs (think iGotAnOffer, MConsultingPrep etc) ? I am preparing for MBB interviews (unsuccessful last year) and have limited money to spend on these programs. I am willing to swap my case materials (including paid structuring drills course from crafting cases). Thank you!!
Interviewed on 10/13, had a follow up with HM on 10/15 who said they’d be making their decision “end of next week”. Haven’t heard anything still. Do I follow up (politely) or wait?
Does anyone know how Wharton announces interviews tomorrow? Is it over email or phone? It says until 5pm so wonder if it’s rolling all day…

Two CBS-related questions: 1. How long did it take ED applicants to hear back about interviews? I applied ED 3 weeks ago and am anxious about waiting. 2. Probably a silly question, but does CBS actually check in with the alums you say you’ve spoken to? I listed a few where I’m setting up the convo but it technically hasn’t happened yet.
Today I had a 4th round interview and gave a 10 min presentation for a position I really want. I honestly love everything about this position and is my dream job. I thought it went really well & she seemed very positive. She said she would follow up with the ceo (who I already met with) and let me know about next steps. I was originally told there would be 5 rounds and with every other round I’ve known next steps before I left the interview. This time I had to wait. Is this a good or a bad sign?
Any Big4 attorneys have insight into PWCs People In Deals group? Interview coming up and could use the help. TIA!
Hi fishes I had my interview(last round) on Thursday. I called the hr for updates they said me they are waiting for feedback. Is it true it takes this much time or it's just a way to reject ? Thanks in advance
Will a cover letter significantly help my application while applying to MBB? Or significantly hurt if I don’t attach one? There’s nothing unusual about my resume to explain (i.e. employment gaps, reapplication, etc) so my CL would primarily be explaining why I want to work for the firm.
Deloitte finance and consulting How do I prepare for a S.Con interview? 1. Behavior 2. Technical case - youtube and online training
Woooo.... Accenture Interactive just acquired another creative shop "The Monkeys". Should we all just throw in the towel and jump ship to Deloitte or Accenture? 😰

Amazon FLDP vs Gartner Consulting (post-MBA level). I am worried taking Amazon will close the door for consulting in the future. Amazon comp - 130k base + 80k sign-on bonus (~45k first year, ~35k second year) + 100k RSU (4 year vest). Gartner - 125k base + 15K EOY Bonus + 10k sign-on bonus. Do I pass on my hopes for consulting and chase the money?
To all consultants out there: I am rather introvert and quite confcall - how did you learn to boost your confidence? Culturally I come from a region where self promotion is seen negatively. You always down-play.
What route would you take any why? A) Stay at my "Tier 2" Management Consulting firm as a Partner with a good compensation X that is guaranteed and expected to gradually grow, but platou around 2x. B) Have an offer from an MBB firm with ~1.2x guaranteed comp over the next 2 years. After that more of get what you kill. C) Have another offer from "Tier 3" firm that is building management consulting arm with ~1.5x and very strong long-term upside as well. Appreciate your take on pros and cons.
Brace yourself, Dec 28 is tomorrow, and anxious IRS fan-base is gonna come knocking into your zoom
Should you leave a somewhat stable (not so much with Covid and layoff talks) job for an ~8% pay increase at another agency rightnow? Who knows what the other place could be as well.
Looking for a project management/analyst role in telecom in Denver area. Many certifications and a solid track record. Role was eliminated due to reorg. Any help is appreciated.
Now that agencies are letting us WFH bc of the virus, maybe they’ll realize it’s the better way: Happier people. And won’t make such a big deal about it going forward.
Does Pennsylvania require companies to pay out unused PTO? I can’t find any wording regarding that in my contract.

Would you choose an investment job at a private, partner-owned long only fund where you’re guaranteed to never lose your job& can be a multimillionaire; or at a very top L/S HF where the bottom performers are fired each year, but you could make multimillions in a good year? Another related q, would you forego the offer at the first place to potentially get the offer at the second place, knowing it’s very competitive? Assume you’re target background, at another top fund, good work ethics
I'm 25. Working as Global Mobility Compensation Consultant 1 with Deloitte. Having better than average skills. PGDM from a Tier 3 College (The Worst Part). Making 6.2 LPA (Fix + Variable). How do you ask for a raise when you know your CCO is going to start by saying he went above and beyond for you and really did his best. But you know you are underpaid.
