Sharing my interview experience with JP Morgan Chase India: I gave 3 rounds of interview for a VP position spending total of 3 hours including a coding test of 1 hour as part of 3rd round. The panel was from U.S. and they appeared very interested at every stage. However, as soon as I finished the 3rd round, they went silent. As per my self assessment, I performed well in the coding round. However, when I followed up I was told that they are considering an internal candidate for that position. JPMorgan Chase

Mind sharing where this is? I love places that don’t get wrapped up in job titles.
I wonder who said that

Sounds like your doing a little CD work too? I assume they aren’t paying you an ACD salary either? If so, that would explain why they “don’t believe in titles.” Especially if it’s at a place that doesn’t do good work.
Toggle off your LinkedIn public announcement blast and put ACD on your profile.
Don't put ACD on your LinkedIn profile if you don't (officially) have the title. That puts the onus for exaggerating ("lying", in black and white terms) on you, rather than the onus on potential employers for being willing to understand your situation.
Seen people give themselves titles they think they deserve too many times before and it just looks dishonest. The truth will always come out.
Are you at wieden or d5? If so don’t worry. Are you at another name brand agency and making good work? If so don’t worry. Are you at an agency not known for making good work but you’re squeaking a few good things through? Worry. Are you making bad work at a bad agency? Leave. ACD is a title that’s disappearing from good agencies so I have a feeling you’re at one of them and probably doing fine
@CD1 it’s becoming the norm at Wieden to give out ACD and senior titles more. Even if their day to day rolls stays the same it helps people feel like they are progressing in their career

I was in this position.
You’re already doing the job, but you’re impatient and worried it will affect your future timeline of climbing the ladder.
I ended up leaving the good agency and taking an ACD role at a lesser-cool agency.
I became a CD at lesser-cool agency after 2 years.
And now that I have the titles... I just wish I was still at the good agency.

They don’t have ACDs?
Nope
Similar boat except my agency doesn’t have senior title. So even though I have the experience, the work, and the awards, recruiters brains freeze when I tell them I’m looking for an ACD role.
