Any one working in Emirates NBD in tech roles?
Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated

In today's world a lot of that has to do with the culture of the publication you're working for. If it's managed by shallow people who are concerned with clicks, the work will probably reflect that level of shallowness. If you're lucky to work for a place that values quality, embrace that and do good work and don't worry about the engagement numbers. If you're at an outlet that doesn't encourage quality work, find something better to do with your time.
Completely agree, I hope everyone gets the chance to work around people who actually value quality rather than getting things out quickly!
By prioritizing integrity. Too many publishers are willing to sacrifice it in favor of cheap clicks, and the result is lasting reputational damage. I've always believed it's better to be right than to be first and have let that be my guiding light. We might not have the biggest social following or generate the most website traffic, but I can at least be proud of the work I'm doing every day. And, hard as it is to believe, there are still people out there who value this approach.
I completely agree with this, I think integrity is a key part of what we do and it can be so easy for companies to try and drain that from people
I focus on whether the work has impact beyond the dashboard. Metrics are important, but they do not always capture meaning. I would rather create something authentic than chase clicks that vanish in a week.
I just wish more companies valued this as much as we do..
I feel that so strongly. The pressure to chase numbers can overshadow the work that feels most meaningful. I try to deliver what performs, but I always carve out space for projects that make me proud even if they are not chart-toppers.
100% staying passionate about what you do and really feeling proud of your work is so much more important on a personal level than the amount of views etc! But I know how much pressure is put on people now
