This is his personal enemity towards you, be strong and donot get influenced in this situation. I have seen such kind of Manager the moment they donot like anyone start putting pressure, targeting that employee and when he does not perform or complaints about anything Manager asks to resign.
So if there is no project etc and company wants u out, ask Manager to communicate this with HR and when HR will ask your resignation then u will have discussion with HR and do the needful.
Stay strong, donot get intimidated by these Manager tactiks....but now that you know this Manager and team is not fr you either start looking new team or new role...but donot resign just because Manager is saying so.....without official communication..
The don't have a proper process or policy here, I highly doubt if they would offer me severance pay. Can any organisation do that? Terminate and don't pay severance?
What did he say if you don’t resign? This should come from HR not the manager
He didn't said anything in accordance to that but just communicated me the last date. He also told me that he would extend my notice period upto 2 months if I share the resignation with him.
He is making a lot of efforts to make me write the resignation letter (really unusual since he doesn't really shares a good bond with me, on the contrary we had some arguments - most probably this is the reason why he wants me out) which makes me wonder what potentially could be the reason that I am not getting fired but asked to resign.
Also I have been the consecutive top performer so had nothing to do with my performance.
