So, we’ve got a new baby in the house, and no one’s sleeping right now. I’m amazed that I have the courage to even continue trying to work on this little sleep.

This!

First time around I took 9 weeks off before I returned to work and second time I took 16. Yeah my mental state those first 6 weeks is “survive and advance.” I wouldn’t have had the energy nor mental aptitude to be of any use to my colleagues or clients. Good luck—it does get better

Around two months old is when we turned the corner and got out of the “fighting for our lives” stage. Keep going, it gets better!

Cherish The First Six Weeks by Hellen Moon is a great book to get your baby on a sleep and feed schedule. Can’t recommend it enough.

Congratulations! Hold on tight, the first few weeks are pure chaos but it gets much better.

I’m currently being asked to undergo a background check. 9 years ago, I was caught for drinking underage while in college. I subsequently went through a diversion program. I’m now being asked whether Iv ever gone through a pre-trial diversion, which is what I went through. I don’t want to be penalized for something that happened 9 years ago. Advice? What should I do?

Should I rejoin Equinox? Background: I cancelled my equinox membership because I wanted to try out different gyms. After about a month and a half, I’ve determined I really miss Equinox. It’s kind of expensive ($250 per month, but only an extra $130 over an average local gym). I like saving money but my health has definitely taken a dive because working out is not as enjoyable. Am I crazy?

I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.

I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.

Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.

I’m so scared to let a relationship that gives me anxiety go because I’m 36 F and feel like I’m not going to find anyone else. He’s not a horrible person, but he can be inconsistent. When I bring it up to him he says he’ll try harder but then always goes back to default. I stick around because I think it’s more a personality trait and not that he’s not interested in me (maybe I’m naïve). Could really use some encouragement from a bunch of strangers.
