When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap?
