M1, Who said anything about avoiding inspection? The question was if it is necessary to go ahead and have the inspection done based on the vote to eliminate inspections.
Why wouldn’t you renew your registration? Seems like a given.
The question is based on the recent bill that was approved.
The ticket cost more than your registration!

With out inspection now days in Texas you won’t get registration renewed .. wth that has been the case for 3 years or more

Some metro counties that have historical emissions issues will mandate inspection, it depends where u live
Keep your money, and then fork it over to the cop because you didn't read the new law
Do I need to get a Texas license plate? I’ve been here for 7 months and still have an out of state plate.
Still have out of state license as well. The car is in my dad’s name and he doesn’t want to switch the plates which is a headache when it comes to insurance.
