For anyone wanting to get into cybersecurity:
Step 1: get the Security+.
This is what I always recommend regardless of what area of cyber security you want to get into down the line.
Start with security+ to build your foundational knowledge, much easier to transition if you have something to show expertise.

Congrats on getting upgraded in TDP. You are either exceptionally talented or great at interviews. First year we can’t really staff you because of TDP restrictions. But after that once you self learn skills, you can start. I recommend using FREE fortinet/ Palo Alto/cisco training we have, getting one of their certs. Learn which area of security you want to work with: IAM, cyber defense, applied engineering, advanced adversaries simulation etc then reach out to the leads or contacts listed. We have a dedicated security page and everyone is great about responding. Hope this helps and best of luck.
Thank you so much!
Echoing what Security Consultant 1 said. Pick a domain within Security (you can find them all in the Accenture security community site), then go after trainings and certs in that area for ~1yr. Then reach out to that domain and ask if u can be added to a “friends of...” list. I know some domains have that for when they need to staff security projects but dont have enough ppl
Thank you (:
Guys how is Accenture security? I’ll be coming over from EY as a Manager and want to know about learning/growth opportunities within the firm. I currently have an IAM focus. Thank you.
Can you provide some examples?
