You're a professional on a tourist airline. Expect to be disappointed.

like

Thought the same thing - 15 people were pre boarded

like

Yup. Had 13 on this flight. People are abusing the process. Don't know how you fix it though.

like

And then you go in and of course they sit in the best seats and often put a purse or some shit in the middle seat.

like

Well put E1. Well put!

EY1 true but it wasn't this bad before, also the reward points is the best value hands down

Agree with pwc1, the system is being abused now

Southwest rewards can't get you outside of the country and are therefore useless

^ yes they can and also you never travel domestically? That's hard to believe

Where do they fly outside the USA? I'll admit ignorance. Not that I'll start flying them; I don't like their cattle car approach to travel.

Mexico, Cuba, various Caribbean nations. I mean unless you're sitting in business class / delta comfort plus, economy on all the other airlines is worse

I guess I mean long haul. Still can't think of a reason to do the southwest thing. Seen it, don't like it.

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

I'm a light sleeper who cares too much about the people around me, but I've got a flight to London next Friday from 7pm NYC time to 7am UK time, and I'd really like to master sleeping on a plane just this once and not be in jet lag hell for the entire day after I land. I'll be in premium economy in an aisle seat. I usually take melatonin before bed and sleep on my side. Does anyone have suggestions for an OTC sleeping pill or pillow that actually works, or other advice for sleeping on a plane?

Looking for referrals for a Technical Sales Executive position that is Remote (USA), possibly in the industrial sector. Last year I made $109k at AT&T so I'm hoping to at least stay in the same ball park but want a change. I have lots of experience selling IT/telecom, but I also have a Mechanical Engineering background so I'm a good fit for a wide range of technical sales. I have been thinking a role in the industrial sector with a longer sales cycle may be a good fit, can travel up to 25%

Does anyone know how litigation finance works on the plaintiff side? If someone wanted to bring a lawsuit against their former employer would a general contingency arrangement with a plaintiff’s firm make sense? Or would one need to find funding and then contact a plaintiff’s firm to actually handle the case? I’m a transactional lawyer, so this is out of my wheelhouse.
