Struggling with JE’s for earnouts paid post-acquisition. Amounts were paid out to former owners in a prior period. I think the entry was Dr. accrued expense; Cr. Cash. Now it’s sitting in accrued exp, so I asked why and the client says it was wrong and is reclassing now by Dr. Investment in Sub; Cr. Accrued Exp. (Investment in sub rolls up into current liability.) Does this make sense? I’m so confused about what this should be.

Is there anyone who’s experienced helping their parents get health insurance? I moved firms a little over 3 months ago and have realized my new role is way too qualitative/pmo oriented and I prefer more quantitative work. I had a little over 3 YoE at my old firm (first job out of undergrad). How long should I stick around in my current role even though I feel it isn’t a great fit?
