A $1,000 bonus in our next paycheck for all employees was announced as a replacement of raises an hour before I put in my 2 week notice. 1. Germany - 80k Euros with 30% tax bracket, so after tax, around $60k

2. Abu Dhabi - $98k, without taxes

Considering salary and the company, I'm inclined towards Abu Dhabi offer but considering the lifestyle, I'm more interested in moving to Europe.

I am an senior associate at a small (8-10 attorneys) immigration firm in NYC. My base is 110k and I get 30% for the cases and clients I bring in. My revenue was 370k last year and I did 250k till April this year.

My issue is, I have so much firm's work that I have hard time to work on my cases/clients. It feels like my cases are supposed to be done after hours (like after 6 pm). My work hours are crazy. I feel this is unfair and since my firm's taking 70% of my sales. Should I ask for a raise?

I have a direct report that needs an INCREDIBLE amount validation. On our team Slack, they even feel the need to announce that they were first in uncovering a tiny bit of information - “@boss I found this first!” - and they work to make sure they are acknowledged for such. We’ve had multiple conversations about the behavior - there is no need for it. They can be a team player, but can also be very quick to take all the credit.
