Undergrad in desperate need of advice. Have full time offers from Kearney and Roland Berger. Interested in PE/M&A work. I feel like Kearney is a great cultural fit and a strong name - the safe option. Roland is promising me tons of international travel and strong CDD work. Not sure what to do/consider. Any advice appreciated.

I’ve worked with them on multiple projects (we were the client, used them to staff up mostly PM roles for large projects). Smart people, easy to work with and generally flexible skillsets that can plug into most roles.
Thanks for your perspective.

Pros: Generally a good comp structure with a quick path to profit sharing, flat hierarchy with lots of autonomy, entry level is experienced hires so lots of experience to draw from your peers.
Cons: Excessive and redundant interview process (a large part of the team interviews you to sign off on the hire) results in homogenous teams and a negative interviewing experience, lots of implementation work, minimal exposure to delegation capabilities
That is 100% understandable. Appreciate the honest feedback.

What do you mean by MLM structure? If you’re referring to the pyramid shape, damn near every consulting firm is like that. Need lots of drones to do the work and only a few people to manage and sell the work.
That’s what I’m trying to understand. Lots of negative reviews spoke about it as if there was something nefarious. Since these are people who should also be some level of consultants interviewing with the company, I’m scratching my head.
How's pay/level determined if all new hires are hired as consultants?
Each office has its own range for starting $$$, but it’s typically pretty consistent. Variations are based on experience and demand for your particular skillset. Everyone comes in as a Consultant and can be promoted as early as (but no earlier than) 1 year in, provided they’ve been solid at delivery and have contributed meaningfully in at least two internal areas (think recruiting, BD, culture-building, etc.)
