Spoke to a recruiter today and she said I have to wait a week before knowing if I get an interview because she is sending her notes to the hiring manager. I also got asked behavioral questions. Last time I interviewed (didn’t get role), the recruiter on the spot told me I would get an interview. Is this common or not a good sign?

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?
