Started a new gig at an agency a few months ago with amazing and helpful people. Genuinely nice. Finally got the title and money I deserve. But... you knew that was coming. The job description doesn't match the actual job. Like, at all. Find myself hating it. Do I get out now? The sooner I do, the sooner they can find someone else. Or do I give it 6-12 months and see if I can make something out of it? If I master the general role, maybe other opps will open up? I think it's a great agency.

I am currently working at a prod based company as a QA Engineer in a maintenance project. I joined 7 months back. They offerred me an SDET+DevOps role. And all this while I was mostly working on manual. There is no scope and value to automation in this project.

Is it wise to leave now or should I wait for an year?

And how should the negotiation start? Through phone calls or emails? Didn’t use recruiter for this position, so I don’t know what is the process here.

Crushed my final two interviews today. I will hear back sometime next week for a verbal offer for a Tech Solutions Consultant on the xWS team. 3L with mostly A’s and B’s. I am having the worst luck trying to find work for after school and my experience working with lawyers has left me completely dejected. I cannot get an interview to save my life. I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. Mind you, I was working FOR FREE as it was a school connected externship. That made me never want to work in the law.

Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them.
