Maksymillian, posting under your real name is either a solid power move or a hilarious rookie mistake.
I'll spend the weekend working on my bow tying skills and report back!

Be kind, man. People in consulting are usually so damn mean. Just stay kind and good things will follow.

I don’t work at Accenture, just find this to be the case at my firm, and generally speaking, people are people, so wouldn’t be surprised if Accenture were the same.
That being said, I think it’s more of a correlation than causation. Those who are in the cliques are able to rise above, and this makes them act arrogant (not the arrogance allowing them to be in the click, it’s that they act arrogant because they have their little group and they’ve been promoted, so they’re in a pretty nice spot). Often it’s the people who joined as big undergrad classes who act arrogant and are in the cliques, sort of like if you were in hs and a bunch of nerdy looking people started acting like the popular kids. I just enjoy that I, and others who didn’t join with the undergrad class, make more money than all of them at the same level, but I see the clear benefit to their cliques.

ALWAYS stay 90 - 100% utilized. Learn new technology and get the related certifications if any so that you won’t stay on the bench for more than 3 weeks. Move from CD&O to C&M after a year to accelerate your impact on projects and pay.
I've been working on getting AWS certified before I start, not sure if its smart but Im hoping it'll help me land a project faster.
15 min virtual coffee to get to know people on your project
Welcome! here are a few tips I have:
- Networking is a about quality not quantity. You will constantly hear about how important it is to network, which is true but make sure that you are investing time in building meaningful relationships with those you network with
- Work hard and have a positive attitude. As an analyst no one expects you to know everything but having a positive attitude and being willing to help where needed will go a long way
- Get involved in plus 1s- not only will you learn new skills but you will also build your network
- Be a team player
Honestly you get what you put into your career here at ACN. If you put in the work it will eventually pay off. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
Thank you for the advice! How does networking work while working from home? Does ACN have any tools to make this easier?
Don’t be afraid to ask MDs or SMs if they have time for a mentoring session. Sounds like you already have some areas of interest, so find MDs in that space (ideally on a project you’re on, much easier to connect), and try to get a connection. It’s a lot harder remote. I used to do a desk drop to MDs, which was terrifying as a new hire, but it made it easy to show I was an intelligent person looking to learn and would be worth 15 minutes of their time for a coffee. You can try to send an email or a ping, but also attend as many town halls and group meetings as you can. Be present and almost always someone will say, “reach out to me if you’re interested.” Do it right away! They may not respond, but just keep trying.
You’ll find one of the most annoying things about ACN is that it is perfectly acceptable to not respond to emails, especially from a less senior person. It’s awful, but do your best to work around it. Try to get as many high level people as possible to get to know you and use them to connect with other people who otherwise haven’t been responding to you. Usually, people are just super busy. Good luck!
Enjoy your orientation week but try to get staffed on a non-call center project ASAP.
They are pushing Salesforce at the moment. Any cloud based certification (Azure, GCP, AWS, Oracle etc) will help you get staffed. Tbh, whatever project you will get is based on your region and home office.
Take your time and learn the basics. If you are gearing with technical role, try to understand and learn the system design. Whenever you get downtime, read documentation and guides.
Good luck. Network network network
