Instead, picture yourself getting away with it. Not by coasting and hiding, but by working hard, working late, studying and learning on weekends until you really are at that level. Then picture yourself getting a promo in a few years.
Fake it till you make it.
Wrong way of thinking about it. You should instead think “wow i cant believe my current employer was underpaying me so much”
Unless you changed job functions you were almost certainly underpaid in your last role. On the off chance you are under qualified think of it as a learing experience to ramp up your skills.
You also received your last offer in a totally different economy- companies have to offer more now than I’m guessing they had to when you got your last job.
This is called imposter syndrome. You’ll be fine. They hired you for a reason
Also, based on employment data, there is a very very very low chance you’ll be laid off, even though it’s the trigger word of the midterm season
Congrats, bank it all
You tricked them into getting into that position then you can learn the responsibilities of the role eventually but in a shorter period. Focus so you can keep up with the title.
