What do you do when you're sick while traveling?

I need a piece of advice from you all.
My wife is a physiotherapist. Although the market of physiotherapy is increasing day by day. But the income is still less and lot of politics is there.
I want her to join IT may be by doing any certification, so is it possible that a Physiotherapist(Dr) can persue career in IT field?
Will companies accept anyone from medical field into IT?

Question - for anyone who received paid leave and short term disability pay from NY state, is there a tax document I should be receiving to claim that income? I received the max benefit for the full applicable period so a fair percentage of my income in 2020 came from those benefits. I’ve recently started a treatment that has made me immunocompromised. Not sure how to handle this at work as all COVID restrictions, beyond following a hybrid approach, have been lifted at the office - masks are optional, no distancing, sick people are coming in and not getting tested, and the windows don’t open to allow for fresh air.
