Only have two people at check-in
File a discrimination suit. They are discriminating against your throuple lifestyle.
Everywhere outside of the US factors in the number of occupants. There's nothing you can really do about it.
Rising Star
In the US, most rooms are either 1 king or 2 queens so occupancy allows up to 4 in a two-bed. 2 doubles in most hotel chains only allow 2 adults plus 1 child.
If you really want to scheme it, just have two people (or even just you) check in and have your friend stay away and walk up to the room later.
Rising Star
Risk it. Check in solo or with only 1 other person, and bring the third later.
Thanks all!
I can’t imagine the Hilton Garden Inn in Peru being that expensive, what’s “substantial”?
40% increase
Hilton Gold or Diamond, per website:
Second Guest Stays Free
A second guest stays free in the Member's room on qualifying stays at hotels when there are additional charges for double occupancy. This benefit excludes stays at any hotel when the rate includes additional components (e.g., meals, activities, parking), is a specialized rate quoted as a per-person or per-room charge (e.g. package rates, bed & breakfast rates), or is an All-Inclusive property.
Not exactly sure if this means 2 people or 3.
This is the one in Cusco? Been there and they don’t check. (We only had 2 adults though)
False. They will scan all the passports and can see you walk in from the desk as it faces dead on to the door/drop off. There is nowhere to “hide” while other check in since you need a key to enter the hallways. I doubt you’d getaway with it for a stay. If you cant afford the hotel or paying for your guests is an issue, stay somewhere in your budget/less expensive. There are so many cheap options.
