You have BS and MS in Computer Science? What are you hanging around for? Go get a real job
Get a roommate?
....I am not getting any traction internally to move up. So I am thinking of moving out to move up. Which companies are great at developing IT PM experience? Should I stay in consulting or learn a new technology to private? I also don’t want to be a paper pusher PM, but want to use business and technical acumen in progressing into a PM role.
Isn’t PM a paper pushing role? I’m not sure I have a clear understanding of what you are hoping to achieve and maybe clarifying that narrative with a mentor or career counselor would help
Network more. U have skills but no one knows about u. Get out there and network !
Try RPA. A baby step towards technical world
BS in CS and MS in Info Systems and Technology Management
Senior Consultant OP.,

Haha thanks!
Why do you see pm as a promotion? In germany most pm earn less than anyone else. Except you are very knowledgeable and experienced, but by than you could have moved in to management for example..

How do you suggest I step into the RPA realm? Are there certifications for it? Join companies that work on RPA. Catch 20-20!

Which companies are the big RPA players in the VA/DC area? Not including consulting for RPA type of work.
Thanks, VP1!

VP 1 I had read this before in another bowl. Let’s say if I even get savvy with learning the tools and make myself a SME on RPA, to some extent, that won’t help me go up the ladder. I am looking to progress into a managerial role- managing initiatives. If I go into this level of technology research, I will most likely end up being an Analyst or Consultant again?
By the way, the future 2 years you spend in RPA will be most sought after skill and will open the doors, higher up
