Susan Collins speach on the Senate floor is phenomenal. I listened to it live and a second time today. For 40 minutes, she explains that many of the left's concerns regarding Kavanaugh are unwarranted

She gave a great speech with clear reasoning for her decision. There is room to disagree with her on particular points, but what I most appreciate is her commitment to explaining her logic in a compelling fashion.

I would encourage those on this thread who disagree with her not to attack her personal motives (which is intellectual cowardice in my opinion), but rather to point out where you see flaws in her reasoning.

Democrats ruined Ford’s life. Refused to confidentially refer her letter to the proper authorities on the committee and FBI until the 11th hour, then leaked her identity against her will, forced her to testify in front of the entire nation in a losing battle, made her look like a liar when they couldn’t get a single shred of corroborating evidence, then claim victimhood that they lost.

Ford was traumatized early in her life and the Dems took her and shred her to new lows.

It’s ugly either way. Either kavanaugh is a liar and got away with sexual assault, or the Dems stooped to historic lows in a desperate attempt to eliminate a judicial nominee.

Funny how the FBI has not done a thorough 302- as they did not interview the subject of the alleged crime - however the subject cannot remember anything - not even which day she took polygraph - even as she described it as being one of us most painful things she went through - crying at all time - but she can point exactly to Brett and drinking only a beer - can’t remember even if she shared her therapy notes with Wapo- which only happened a few weeks earlier - not sure what else the FBI could do - what did the dems say of FBI - no one should cast a doubt on their investigations- they go where the evidence is - they did - there is none . Remember the same FBI did not even interview the Secretary of State on the Offsite server - the other side was very complementary that there is nothing there there - it’s difficult to watch this episode - the country is torn by both sides of the aisle - we can do better -

Those were supposed “ethics complaints” resulting from his behavior during the witch hunt senate testimony. Justice Roberts moved them to the 10th circuit for review and to maintain impartiality. It is protocol doesn’t warrant the hype

Yes, D1, you are partially correct- some weren’t dismissed. And yet many already were. The ones not dismissed were “credible enough” to not be dismissed. So they forwarded them to another circuit for review. That is an appropriate and prudent move from Justice Roberts.

Once reviewed they may find the complaints lack substantive grounds from a legal ethical framework. Right now, Still not enough there to warrant a hype yet.

There are tons of reasons she could have come forward. 1 she could actually believe she is telling the truth after under going memory recovery therapy... 2 it could be the nearly million dollars I money she has raised from this. 3 it could be she is just a radical liberal afraid that Kavanaugh will immediately put at risk their ability to murder babies. 4 should could just be mentally unwell or a liar. 5 she could just want to be a hero of the resistance and is so influenced by the kangaroo courts of colleges that she thought that her mere accusation with out any evidence would bring him down.

Ford’s testimony was determined to be “less than weak” by a 26 year sex crime prosecutor. Think about that. Nothing more than a polite way of saying she wasn’t candid. She lied numerous times in her testimony but no one is going to press charges or raise those issues because she is an “alleged sexual assault survivor” with no proof of a sexual assault occurrence. Her ex boyfriend asserts she fraudulent used his credit cards and she had fidelity issues. In the court room, the jury would have had a chance to explore her character and history. You can bet She is hardly a victim or innocent lamb.

Spartahissyfit and kamalaland are 2020 posers. Neither deserve the title of senators for their hand in this circus. DiFi should be reprimanded by the professional conduct board. Justice and order will be served once she and her staff are investigated for their 11th hr shenanigans.

Playing identity politics is a sure fire way of sowing the seeds of division because by its very nature when politics separates and categorize people by their identity labels it creates segments of “in and out” groups. It is the opposite of diversity and inclusion. And yet, this is the messaging of the Democratic Party. Now all the Dems have to do is add inflammatory language, a women’s match, #metoo, BLM, and any number of quasi legitimate movements and you get division and the politics of emotionalism. That’s how the party stays relevant and well funded. #walkaway

The confirmation of Kavanaugh renews hope that bully politics will not prevail and rule of law remains the law of the land. Anyone who doesn’t like it is free to leave. 🇺🇸
