It’ll always be a work in progress. Not that hard when people actually buckle up and behave like humans.
When we can agree that people are biased towards the familiar and that the preference compounds on itself when scaled up to the level of society. If we can ever reach that level of awareness about how individual decisions can build up into to systematic oppression then I think we will be in a good spot. It’ll probably take 3 or more generations to get there though.

I don’t think any of us will be alive to see it. America had 300 years of slavery and then 100 years of segregation. It’s only been like 60 years since segregation ended, so yeah, still a long ways to go to undo centuries of racism.

When there is somewhat (not perfectly) proportional representation of all ethnic groups in the vast majority of professions, colleges, and tax brackets.
A1 I didn’t answer for gender, and while one could make the same argument in theory, I think there are more valid counter arguments for gender. In particular, it’s more plausible to me that even if society didn’t hold men and women to such different expectations, they might make different choices. It’s less plausible to make those arguments to justify the kinds of disparities we have by race.
