JD? Niche practice? How do you get paid so much as a senior?

like

You’re a senior at PWC now and have already worked at both EY and KPMG? Three firms in five years?

like

If you’re not in a speciality group, doubt you will see much as that’s already in the higher range. I’m in a similar position when I’m looking at senior roles. It’s already kind of topped out

like

Wow didn’t know that

Ask for 150k base so you end up between 140-150k and minimum s/b 140k in HCOL.

like

Yes, should be around 150k max. I personally like to stay within the range and kind of stick to a number keeping minimum in the mind to have interest from both ends.

If in specialty, ask for 160k

15-20% for an internal raise, so I'd shoot for 25%

I recently got a verbal offer from KPMG strategy. Is that more prestigious than like, most other firms? Like, I know MBB is done with recruiting; I feel like below MBB for name recognition is the Big 4 and other firms aren’t as reputable. I’m trying to decide whether or not I should interview and apply to other firms or just take this one (assuming a written offer ever comes along). Also, I prioritize work culture and exit opportunities over salary, but don’t want to be paid below poverty line.

Recently, as you probably know, Dr. Seuss's estate chose to stop printing a few of his older books that had offensive racial stereotypes. There was huge backlash from white people, including teachers here, screaming "cancel culture!" Now we have a white guy who murdered eight Asians in custody, unharmed; while the police officer who killed an African American man for allegedly trying to pass a bad check is about to go on trial. Full disclosure: I'm white. But I'm still enraged by all this. You?
