McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

Ask your manager to give hike in fixed salary. If he able to sanction then stay, else come out of your comfort zone and try options outside.. give interviews and try to take more offers..
Generally tcs provides two types of hike in salary - retention bonus and wings2 but these are not fixed. Both has their own terms and conditions.
So if you are getting good salary outside then just Go. Don't think to stay. Take new role and responsibility. Wish you all the best!
Same happened with me in my current organisation. I have stayed as they have given me 100% hike(fixed). My LWD was in mid of DECEMBER. Its all depends upon why you resigned, for me it was under paid and they paid the same salary which I was getting outside. All the best. Think twice and make a wise decision.
The answer is no!
What's the need of realizing worth after you have resigned!
I would suggest you to go for a better opportunity outside organization.
As you have inly 6 yoe i suggest you take increment from tcs whatever they are giving ..ask them to match your offer..and then switch job again
Unfortunately salary increases only after you resign.
Don’t make an emotional decision, weigh your options and choose the one that gives you future ready skills. Given 6 YoE, the opportunities to change tracks will only get more limited going forward

Hey there might be a reason for your resignation focus on that. I dont believe the hike would be what you could get outside and sticking to one company doesn't always work right, whatever was your reason to leave the current just ponder on that and react accordingly

Search this bowl u will get all the suggestions.. This is a trap if u want to get it then stay
I had the same situation in TCS and eventually end up in resigning 31.12.2021. Actually if you ask manager or HR for numbers or percentage they are not promising anything due to retention policy .
If you have hike more than 70% then no need ask to match because HR & policy won't allow .
Only promise they can provide is on-site that too depend on project due to covid it may also take years as well.
Choose wisely depend on your need and family situation..

Haa new offer letter le lena apne company se kaam Aayega dusrie company ko dikhaae kaa 😂😂
You already have 6 years of exp, if you stay back it will be more difficult for you to switch. Better you switch now and get out of your comfort zone.

Dude with your tech stack and experience you can reach 4-5 times of your current TCS CTC which I guess 5-6 lpa now in tcs
What's your position there @infosys1.!!!?
Even if you stay with TCS, you will get peanut hikes next year..and if market becomes normal next year, you may not switch in such good package again...so, move out of TCS now
Leave TCS. Don't hang on to false promises.
Same happened with me,TCS managers gave many offers (Tech Lead role,Onsite opportunity ies)after my resignation, But please dont fall for it..get out of TCS if you want to make money..Else stay and enjoy in TCS..
What's your current ctc and what's retention ctc?
I was also told the same thing they are offering onsite too so that i can wfh in onsite
Like pankaj tripathi said in a movie "i can give you that in writing" and RR tells him to do so, same way, unless your manager does that, don't believe!!
Quit. Unless and until the bribe they are offering is on paper and makes you content don't change your decision to resign.
Bro, If the company want promote you with the hike then why they waiting for your resignation. Think twice it's common policy of each company. So best way is, If you recieved good opportunity than don't think twice. Or else accept. But please take everything in written prior about your promotion and what % hike you will receive.
6 years exp , salary ask should be 25 LPA min
