Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

Product Manager as a tech consultant you will never really own anything. There are no consequences to you for your actions. As a product manager everything has to be thought through well as you live with the pain the product causes and the rework, pissed off development team and management that comes with it

A1 - are you saying the numbers I posted for big 4 were off? They match up roughly to the the total comp for each of the google levels I quoted don’t they? Everyone is inferior to someone. Like youll never be a Zuckerburg,Tony Xu, Alexandr Wang or other tech billionaire in their 20s. They are several leagues way above you in terms of intelligence, innovation and creativity. If you told them you went to Harvard, worked at BCG and are have prestige and are elite, they’d literally laugh at you. You’re still just an employee , work in an office for 70 hours a week doing work assigned to you (not by choice) and have more in common with a big 4 tech worker than a billion dollar CEO even if you make $800k a year. That’s just a blip in a HCOL city compared to the real movers and shakers who own businesses. Also tons of big 4 tech consultants move over to Faang product management. Its not as difficult as you make it seem given that many big 4 consultants have engineering or comp sci degrees, applied data skills and implementation/ agile experience.
Deff go into industry if you can.
You have more ownership over your products. As a consultant you may have some control but you are on a contract so your role is not indefinite.
