I have been on a planned personal sabbatical this year pursuing personal interests. Now I’m ready to go back to work. I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. I have attended an interview last week which had both Technical and Manager Round. The next day, I got mail from a HR to upload the documents in iBegin portal and then the documents were 'Verified' later. Even after 4 days the status in iBegin portal still says as "Candidate registered against job". I am not getting any response from the HR about the current status.

I talked to a sr. associate in a different office/group to get a better sense of the firm’s vibe and we both really enjoyed our call. He kindly offered to recommend an interview to HR. “I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us?
