Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. I regularly interface with leadership internally and at the client. But, I am aligned to the “Operations” capability and make the least of my teammates who perform seemingly identical work but are aligned to “Strategy and Consulting.” I worry I’m on a career path to being paid the least wherever I go, because Operations is in my title and background.

How many people were successful going from contract to direct hire? I’m super curious and would love tips as moving to a direct hire would be my ideal path. I will just be starting my year contract and want to be able to use you tips and advice as early as possible to get ahead. Thanks in advance. With post-covid office culture I can’t imagine it’s that big of an ask.
