I have been in cyber security as an architect, engineer and professor for over a decade. A new hire got 2.5x the bonus and my peers all passed me. I was a top performer on my team, managed to keep my staff employed and blew away expectations while growing the business.

I have an offer to join a startup in a field that is not tech driven, and there’s a ton of room to do wildly innovative work. It’s moderate risk high reward , but the concern I have is that I’m not in love with cyber anymore.

One year has passed since I joined EY India and I haven't received any increments or progressions. What should I do? My colleagues say just wait but the salary is just not sufficient.

Hello, EAs! I work for a small PE Consulting firm where I have been the EA to the CEO, CAO and MDs for 4 years (15 YOE).

I’m transitioning into a more ops/HR function developing our HR dept (we currently use a PEO) from scratch and will have 3 EAs reporting to me. I will be heavily involved in recruiting, benefits, payroll, 401K, training, mentoring, morale & culture & moderately involved in biz dev and marketing.

What would be an appropriate title for this role?

Any tips on how to quantify work as an EA? I’m having trouble with this part but I’ve heard it’s necessary. Also what would be considered a KPI for an EA? That’s not something we tracked at my last job. TIA!

What would you do? I was recently reached out to by an exec I worked for at another agency. He’s at a new agency and looking for an EA to assist him, the new president and another exec. However the agency itself is not doing well- no new biz wins, big layoffs recently, terrible reviews on Glassdoor. I like my current agency enough, however, very much don’t like the 2 execs I assist. Would you go rather work for good execs at a bad agency? Or stay at a decent agency but awful execs?

Any one at the Associate level willing to share their salary, location and years of experience? Are you entitled to overtime pay? I'm an Associate in NYC, 25 years exp, no overtime pay I work at least 15 hours extra every week. I really believe I have been low balled so I'm trying to understand the salary range for an Associate. It appears a lead EA who is a level down and entitled to OT makes more money.
