Is joining a startup as the second lawyer under a head of legal (rather than a GC) a risky career move? Currently a mid-level at a biglaw firm and have been told my long term prospects are very good if I stick around. The startup seems like a good opportunity, but worried a GC being hired in above the head of legal would make my position much less favorable.

TC would also be lower at the startup, though the company is well funded and seems likely to have an exit of some kind.

Do you incorporate into your classes/teachings the value of creativity and importance of language and literature as an art form? I'm thinking of starting to incorporate more free writing and even some relaxation/imagination exercises. Has anyone else done this?

Hey y’all! Figured I’d reach out here to hear people’s thoughts on the matter. Basically I’m looking at buying a home this summer, however with HMBradley rates being nerfed I’ve now found myself looking for a new place to store the down payment (~100k).

Any advice on where you would put it? Unfortunately can’t do I-bonds due to timing and the only other “savings account” option that has a high yield are stable coin accounts which themselves entail high to unknown amounts of risk.
