There is no Glassdoor Cringe, leaving this here. How many find GDs decisions regarding post removal to be dubious? As a recruiter reviews are a subj. of discusiion. I have heard of 1&2-star reviews removed. I have not heard of 4 or 5-star reviews removed. A Co. (200 EEs) where 75% of EEs left a 5-star review. I've seen companies receive five 5-star reviews in one day & some receive a bad review and suddenly several 4 or 5-star reviews appear. Execs tell of GD removing bad reviews upon request.

Yep, HR will add in a bunch of reviews if they get one negative one.

Believe it or not, we do not remove reviews at anyone's request. All a flag or request to remove does is get us to take a second look. And sometimes that means we also spot positive review fraud. We remove or prevent the posting of lots of five-star reviews, too.

We tried at my last company and they wouldn’t. We stopped responding to negative reviews because they make you look defensive. Glassdoor reviews (no offense Glassdoor 1) have to be taken with a grain of salt because it’s the most disgruntled workers and the ones who become part of active internal company campaigns that give the most reviews. If you really want to know about a company check their bbb ratings. Sometimes what a customer says about a company is even more telling than what an employee says.

What would you all say are the best consulting firms to work at in the federal government space? I’m not sure how many “prestigious” firms (like MBB) have a significant federal practice at all.

There really is such a direct correlation between cringey title and cringey posts.

Before LinkedIn...to me, the king of professional cringey was Shingy. Do you guys remember him? He was aol's overpaid "digital prophet" and got paid to visit companies at lunchtime and babble the same kind of nonsense we now call "LinkedIn cringe".

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to beg for a job and put your personal life out there to get sympathy, because that is what I am seeing every day on LinkedIn and then the recruiters and everybody will comment and send the jobs and they will end up with a job or interview the next day.
I’m getting close to the point of doing that because it seems like it is working.
