Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Look at the husky adjustable workbench. Have to crank the desk up and down manually but you can save a few hundred doing it, plus it’s on wheels so you can move to be facing the window, tv, etc, and it is very stable. I love it and it was significantly cheaper ($250 I think)
I have one at the office but only remember to use it a few times a week so personally I wouldn’t go to the personal expense of having one

Try working standing up, put your laptop by a kitchen counter. See how you like being on your feet standing...

Good advice! Although it’s not suitable for me because I have two large monitors attached to my small laptop - never use my laptop screen
I don’t have one at home but everyone in our office has a standing desk that can adjusted down to sitting as needed. I personally love it, it feels good to stand and be in the zone working on things, when I play music I immediately start to dance around, which may look stupid but is good for the mind and body (especially now). And I just feel generally more awake and focused when working. If you ever want to sit and work you can just go to the kitchen table / couch.
Just got uplift v2 and really like it. I’m tall so I also like that I can adjust it higher than a normal desk when I’m sitting too. I’ve found I like to switch between sitting and standing during the day
I got one on amazon for $80 and it’s been great! A bit of a tight squeeze for both laptop and a monitor but it’s two layers so the keyboard can go below which is nice. I got a smaller one because of lack of space living in a NYC studio. Happy to share link if interested.
https://amzn.to/2zR3eSe this is the brand I got! The $80 is all sold out but this one is $99 with swinging footrest (not sure why that’s needed but not a bad price).
Did a review here. Love the standing desk. Gentle on the back

Really like it. I had never used one, just bought it and started using it. My wife hoards the room with the standing desk now but I still get like 2-3 hours per day on it.
Considering you said you have two large monitor, seriously weigh your equipment before purchase. Nothing worse than have a standing desk that’s motor can’t handle the weight of your monitors (happened to a friend).
I love having one and my hips feel less tight the days I use it

Thank you all for sharing! I’ve decided to go ahead getting one from autonomous because of their 30 day return policy and price is more reasonable than others :)
Great 👍
