Honestly, the only way to do it is to change the type of mother you want to be. I made the decision when I had my daughter that it was more important to me to be with her, raising her than to delegate that away and advance in my career. For women who take a different route, it will have to mean that they become more hands off. Not bad, its just a difference.
Hmmm a lot can be delegated at home. Hh chores, cooking, shopping - the key is quality time and the relationship, which requires predictability. I started a hours heavy job when my daughter was young and prioritized a Friday am mother/daughter class and it was so helpful, even though I made up those hours elsewhere we always had that block of time…
Ooh this is a great question OP and a really interesting read because I do think that balancing the two can be really difficult. I also think some of that falls on your partner and if they are truly sharing half of all the responsibilities so that everything is balanced out.
