Hi - Can anyone share some light on the EY-Parthenon GDS service line? Is it similar to overall EY GDS or are there any EYP related differences? I heard they support the EYP case teams and work-life balance is a challenge.

I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?
There's not really a rule book that says I must work until the work is done even though it's an unsaid expectation. Thoughts?

West coasters - do you feel like you get screwed on hours? E.g. get up early for an east coast call but, not like your day ends any earlier

Has anyone here renegotiated their salary after a short time being in a role? I accepted a position and I like what I do but I realize that the workload requires a lot to see success and I feel a bit burned out already with my 40 hours/week and occasional extra 30 minutes to an hour a day.

I am stuck between putting in my time and showing my value and asking for an increase to validate doing so to avoid job hopping after a year or so.

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I’m also at risk to develop complications. Not sure if I should talk to HR. Not even sure if I should ask for accommodations to continue being able to wfh at least most days of the week to reduce risk. Idkkkk 😩This is so unprecedented. I always wear my mask at work. I am an unmarried working man in his 30s with a southern mother. In other words I'm flying home for Christmas and my mother just called to tell me that she just happened to accidentally run into the sweetest girl from her church that she just knows I'll get along with and accidentally invited her to our house for dinner the night that I get home.
