you just described pharma culture a little too accurately. I’ve been in the industry for a while now, and honestly, you’re not alone in feeling this way. There are always way too many people in the room, and not all of them are there to actually contribute. But one thing is for sure, leadership might not always call it out immediately, but the folks actually moving projects forward tend to build a good internal rep and those “pretend workers” eventually get exposed, or worse, stay stagnant while you keep growing. So don't stop doing what you're doing or feel bad for doing the right thing. More power to you.
