This time of year always feels weird for our pipeline. Half the prospects are rushing to use up budget and the other half are already mentally on vacation. I’m trying to figure out how hard to push versus when to just focus on setting up January. How do you decide when to keep chasing Q4 deals and when to accept that a conversation is really a “next year” situation?

A lot of that just comes down to instinct. I always want to believe there are no lost causes and that people may always come around. But as the holiday distractions become more of a factor it's hard to keep prospects focused. I'm guessing there's maybe a week or so to make some progress and then it's probably a better use of time to start setting up after the holidays.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap?
